Our mission

Our mission is to make private pool parties and events safer and more relaxed through professional water supervision. When a certified lifeguard is watching the water, hosts can focus on the gathering — greeting guests, sharing the meal, and enjoying the celebration — while a trained professional keeps their attention on the pool.

We believe water supervision should be steady, prepared, and unobtrusive. Our approach is safety-first from the first conversation to the moment your event wraps up.

Locally based in Marin

Golden Gate Lifeguard is locally based and focused on Marin County and nearby Bay Area communities. We work with the kinds of pools our neighbors actually have — private backyard pools, HOA and community pools, and vacation rentals — and we understand how local homes, shared amenities, and rental properties tend to be set up.

Being local means we can plan coverage around your specific event and location. If you are not sure whether we serve your area, just ask.

A note from our founder

I’m Tim, the founder of Golden Gate Lifeguard. I live in San Rafael with my kids, here in Marin under Mount Tam.

Like a lot of local parents, I’ve been to plenty of school parties and backyard pool gatherings. The pattern was always the same: the kids wanted the water, and the grownups wanted to catch up and enjoy the party. Keeping both true at once is harder than it looks.

That gap is why I started this. Professional water-zone supervision so hosts can actually host — greet guests, share the meal, talk to other parents — while a certified lifeguard keeps their attention on the pool.

We’re locally based and focused on Marin County and nearby Bay Area communities. Safety-first from the first conversation through event day, with clear written standards and honest boundaries about what we cover and what stays with the host.

Certifications & insurance

The lifeguards we staff maintain current lifeguarding, CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications. We take credentials seriously and keep them up to date as part of our safety-first process.
