Residents, visitors, and rental hosts
Sausalito mixes year-round households with people hosting for a weekend. The pool still needs a plan either way.
For residents, this is usually a children’s birthday or a family gathering on a hillside lot where the deck is small and the water is close. For visitors, it is often a vacation rental: relatives in town, a house they do not know well, and a pool that is new to the kids. Both are the kinds of private events we staff.
Short-term rental coverage is coordinated in advance with the rental owner. We supervise the water zone only — not the house, not childcare, not swim lessons. Houseboat docks and properties without a swimming pool are outside what we do. Whether a specific Sausalito address works is confirmed when you book.
Booking when you may not live on the property
If you are hosting at a rental, we still need the same facts: date, access, pool, and who will be in the water.
Use the quote form and note that it is a vacation rental if that applies. Include how a lifeguard should reach the pool — steep streets, limited parking, and locked gates are common here. We review ages, ability, pool features, alcohol, and conditions, then recommend staffing.

Hosts stay responsible, even with guests from out of town
A rental agreement does not move property or guest responsibility onto the lifeguard.
Our safety standards do not change for a weekend stay: current lifeguard, CPR, First Aid, and AED credentials; pre-event check; rescue tube and first-aid kit; no phone use while guarding; stop-swim authority. Specific certification and insurance details are available on request — we do not post them as marketing claims here.
The host remains responsible for the property, guest behavior, supervision outside the water, alcohol, pets, and overall conditions. Parents and guardians remain responsible for their children outside the water. If you are booking on behalf of guests, make those boundaries clear to them before the party starts.
