Pool party lifeguards in the San Geronimo Valley

West of Fairfax, Sir Francis Drake Boulevard drops into a wooded valley: Woodacre, San Geronimo, Forest Knolls, and Lagunitas, with larger parcels along San Geronimo Creek.

Four children leap into a swimming pool together with hills in the background.

Rural and semi-rural parcels, not a town center

There is no single downtown pool scene here. Gatherings are at private homes spread along the valley floor and up side roads.

A house may sit back from the boulevard, with a driveway through trees and a pool neighbors cannot see. Birthdays and family afternoons are the usual reason to book. A certified lifeguard covers the water while the host handles guests who often drove out from the rest of Marin. The parcels are rural and semi-rural: more distance between houses than on the hillside lots just east in Fairfax.

The valley communities we mean are Woodacre, San Geronimo, Forest Knolls, and Lagunitas. Meadows and the creek corridor sit between wooded ridges. Spirit Rock in Woodacre is a well-known landmark; it is not a site we staff. Nicasio is a separate valley to the north. We confirm the specific address during review, including a long driveway or a gate.

Which community, and how far off the boulevard

A valley address can be a minute off Sir Francis Drake or a slow climb up a side road. Put that on the quote.

Name Woodacre, San Geronimo, Forest Knolls, or Lagunitas on the quote form, plus the date and who will be in the water. Note a long driveway, a gate, or a pool that stands away from the house. Acreage alone does not set staffing. We recommend certified lifeguards from ages, ability, pool features, and conditions.

The date locks when we accept, the agreement is signed, and the booking requirements are done. When the guard arrives, the first task is walking the pool area. After that, attention stays on whoever is swimming. How it works lists each step from the quote through that day.

A creek lot still has a host

Shade, distance from neighbors, and a rural road do not change who watches people outside the pool.

The Marin-wide safety standards apply on these parcels: current lifeguard credentials with CPR, First Aid, and AED; a check of the pool before swimming; a rescue tube and first-aid kit; phones unused while guarding; authority to stop the swim if conditions turn unsafe. Swim lessons and childcare are outside this service.

The driveway, the house, drinks, animals, and children who have left the pool are for the host and the guardians to watch. The pool party safety guide is the plain-language version of that split, written for kids’ parties. Get a quote and name the valley community.

Fairfax is the town on the way in

Every drive from the rest of Marin passes through Fairfax, at the east end of the valley. San Anselmo is the next town beyond that.
